Last Utah Summer

Since Devon and I had a whopping three months off between school and work, we made a list of things we wanted to do before we left Utah. Here are the pictures from our summer adventures!

We started at home! We knew we needed to enjoy our last few months of having a backyard, so we set up West's pool and had some fun.

Neither of us, despite living so close, had ever been to the Kennecot Copper Mine

We couldn't leave Utah without going back, one more time, to where it all began....Y Mountain

Unfortunately, we got started a little too late, so it was WELL past bedtime on our way down. West threw a fit, the ENTIRE way down!!!

Ever since Devon went back to BYU I've wanted to go to a BYU Baseball game. The BYU Alumni Association was throwing a tailgating party before their last home game for all graduates and their families, so we figured it was the perfect time to go.

However, the weather didn't stay good for long. I think we only made it through half the game, but still had a great time!

For our three year anniversary, we took a family trip ALL the way to Salt Lake City. We spent the day at City Creek, Temple Square and The Garden.

We went to St. George to visit friends. We played with the dogs, went to our favorite restaurants, swam in our favorite swimming hole, went on a hike and played lots of games!

Then, the thing I was most excited to go do... We went to Golden Spike National Historic Site. It's amazing the history at that place. It is literally in the middle of nowhere, but SO worth the drive.

Of course, we couldn't leave until we spent plenty of time with family. Grandma Black wanted to take West and all the grandkids to the park, one last time.

And finally, we went to Seven Peaks. This wasn't on our list, but some family was going so we decided to tag along. It really was great. Devon and I had passes there a few summer ago and had a BLAST, so it was fun to take West. He LOVED it!!! We certainly learned that he was no fear of water, even when he was under for a few seconds.

If you ask Devon, he'll say that we were pretty lazy and unproductive this summer, but from the length of this post, it doesn't appear that there was much time to be lazy ;)
